Can you apply ED II to more than one school?

I know that for ED I (the November deadline), you are supposed to apply to that school only. However, for ED II, I would obviously have to send in applications for all of the other schools on my list during the January deadline, not just the ED II school.

So, if multiple schools on my list offer ED II, is it possible to save my EA (November) bullet for a dream school, apply ED II to the schools that offer it, and RD the rest? Or does the policy of applying to one ED school still apply for ED II?

ED II is binding, just like ED, so no. You can only apply to one school ED I and if not accepted in the ED I, one different school ED II.

no

NO

Like others say, No.
ED 2 just gives you another chance at ED if you get rejected from your frist ED college. It is still a binding application.

You can send RD applications to other schools, if that’s what you mean. But you can only designate 1 as ED2 and you will have to withdraw all the RD apps if you are accepted to your ED2 school.

As was noted, only one EDII school, period.

You can still apply EA wherever you want and of course, anyplace whatsoever RD. I think the only restrictive EA exceptions would be Notre Dame and Georgetown, which would not allow their EA to be combined with some other school ED I or II. Interestingly, BC’s EA process forbids applying EDI elsewhere but allows EDII.

Note that some EDII deadlines may be as early as Dec 15, possibly even before the EA decisions are received. Check your deadlines carefully as well as read all your schools’ EA and ED policies on their specific websites.
