I’m not talking about entry level, but can you work your way up to that role with just a 2 year degree? and maybe hopefully, a n employer would pay for your tuition for a 4 year degree. I would love to be a network/system administrator, but what would be the most effective way to get into that role without taking out so much in loans (which I would have to do if I was to get a 4 year degree) to get it?
Sure. Once you get your foot in the door and work for a couple of years, people pay a lot less attention to your formal education.
You might have to get your first job with a smaller company. The larger ones sometimes have policies that require a 4 year degree for someone with no experience.
