Can you cancel your offer of admission after choosing housing?

<p>Hi,</p>

<p>A quick question:I have submitted my AED to a few colleges and now it's asking me to choose my housing and dining options. If I do, can I still cancel my offer of admission afterwards? How about after I finish a roommate contract?</p>

<p>I'm not sure if selecting housing is binding and I don't want to do that. I'm applying to NC State, Virginia Tech and UIUC.</p>

<p>Yes, you can accept an offer of admission to college A, and set up your housing at college A, then later cancel both at A to go to B instead. You may lose any deposits that you paid to A. That’s it.</p>

<p>What is not recommended is to deposit simultaneously at A and B just so you can have more time to decide between them.</p>
