I'm planning on taking the SAT next month.

I need to score a 2100-2400, but the thing is that I already took it twice.

I've been scoring between 1800-2200 on practice tests. I already took like 8 in the past two months, the last 3 were 2000+ but below 2200.

I can pretty much tell about how much I'll score depending on how confident I feel I answered the questions. I plan to cancel my score if I don't feel confident I got a 2100+ since that'll be my third time and from what I've heard taking it more than 3 times just looks bad, even 3 times is a stretch. I'll retake it a few months later if that happens.

Can you cancel it the same day you take it?

And would it count as another take?

If I cancel it and it still counts as my third take then it would pretty much beat my purpose since the whole thing I want is not to have more than 3 takes.
