These are the serious ones. I have other few ECs like a paper on Efficient Air Conditioning system from the power derived from brakes in trains, Dramas, Quiz Bowls.....

Universities applying to:
Mississippi State University
Lehigh University
Marquette University
University of Rhode Island
Rhodes College

It would be great if you could suggest a few good schools for me.

Oh an I need a bit of a merit aid, Full Tuition would be great.

Another Question: If I attend a Tier 3 or 4 Universities, can I apply to the best grad schools in USA like Stanford, CalTech, UPenn among others? Will I be looked upon since I attend a Tier 3 university?

Sincerely.
Thanks for your help.

EC’s look good! And I also play the Sitar!
Incidentally I’m applying to MSU and Lehigh (ED though) as well!!
MSU: Match/IN
Lehigh: Not sure
Marquette: Match
URI: In/Match
Rhodes: Reach

As for your question I don’t think it will matter if you are good…But i’m sure there will be more brighter people who could answer this question more clearly.

You can try University of Alabama, I heard they give a lot of aid. Mom2CollegeKids is an Expert on Alabama here and on college financial aids and stuffs. You can write to her.

Hope this helps.

Thank a lot Phoenix.
Great to hear that someone plays Sitar. Did not expect to run someone here atleast.

I’m doing ED too at Lehigh!

Any one else…

bump bump sorry…

your ECs are phenomenal!!
try for U Mich, Virginia Tech, Georgia Tech, University of Illinois, Purdue University.
and send to one big school like cornell/duke. I doubt you have a chance there but who knows?? Remember, colleges chose classes not students, i presume all colleges would like to have a mountaineer in their class. Food for thought.

Thanks Chelsea! However I think I should have put more stress on my studies than ECs.
Thanks for your advice. I’ll look into the universities which you suggested.

Any more…
@Chelsea…Could you chance me for the Universities which I mentioned in my post?

bump bump bump…

you will get in to all of those

^^ Including Lehigh? Could you suggest any other universities for my Stats and ECs?

im fairly certain youll get in to all of these schools, in fact if i were you id be more ambitious with my applications lol. North Carolina and Virginia are two very good public schools and you have a decent shot at getting aid there. the same goes for the california state system - i would recommend UC berkeley and UCLA.

Which North Carolina University are you talking about? NCSU?

You think I can get into UC Berkeley and UCLA!! Wow. Awesome.

I don’t think you’ll get into Berkeley nor UCLA as an international. It’s much harder from OOS and they have little-to-no financial aid for OOSers.

^^Exactly so… It is very hard for internationals to even get admitted there. University of North Carolina might be an option. But no clue on their merit aids…

@Polosophy: You are damn correct…

It’s not correct that it’s harder for internationals at UCs. They are in the process of changing their in state/OOS ratios in favor of the OOS. It is true, however, that there’s no aid for the OOS.

Thanks for the info 2college/

I think you should apply to carnegie mellon you have a good shot

^^Carnegie Mellon!! Good Heavens!! Are you sure buenos? Because CMU is awesome and I’m not that awesome …:)

Anyone else please?
