Anyways, my essays. I hate them. I absolutely hate them. I wrote them in two days because I wasn't going to apply EA, but then something horrible happened so I had to get everything done asap.

I chose the Where's Waldo prompt.

What do you guys think overall, especially my essays? How much of a chance do I have?

Can’t see the essays. Looks OK overall, which awards did you include on the app? Some of them (most of them) seem gimmicky. ACT is a little low but class rank is awesome. Good luck!

All of them (well, I included them in the ‘additional’ info which I used for my resume). Thanks.

You need to public access the essays…

You’re scores are a bit low, but EC’s look fine.

I agree with the other two posters. ACT is below average, but your academic courses look good. We can’t see the essays, but if you are truly passionate about UChicago, it will show in your writing.

Best of luck!

Fortunately, ACT scores aren’t everything. The university also looks at how you compare with other applicants from your school (which puts you in a good spot because of your class rank) and your involvement is also an important factor. Your academic coursework also shows that you’re smart and hardworking, even if your ACT isn’t the highest. As long as you feel confident in your essays, I think you’ll be fine :)

I’m not sharing the essays anymore. I’ve already shared them with a couple people, and I think that’s enough. (I wish I could edit my post, but I can’t… so sorry)

Hnnng, feel the seething jealousy of a QB applicant who didn’t make finalist.

Pretty sure you’ll do great. I have a 36 on my ACT but that didn’t mean much. Haha.

Good luck to ya!
