I'm trying to get ahead on my college essays over the summer, but I can't access the Georgetown questions until I fill out the first part of the application, which requires that you check a box either for Early Action or Regular Decision. I'm still not sure which I will apply under, but would really like to see the rest of the application. Is it possible to check one of the boxes, then go back later and change it? Advice?

Since you are trying to get your essays done early, you might want to consider applying EA anyway since there is really no downside. EA is non-binding and Georgetown doesn’t reject any EA applicants (they get deferred to Regular Decision where they get a fresh look). So unless you need to improve your grades or test scores before applying, it might be a good option for you. One thing to be aware of though, is that unlike many other schools where EA/ED acceptance rates are higher than RD rates, at Georgetown they are roughly the same. As such, there is no statistical advantage to applying EA at GU.
