Can you do anything with a major in EXERCISE SCIENCE?

I am really interested in all that comes with exercise science. Although, I feel discouraged that this major does not have many potential career choices (I don't want to just end up as a gym teacher).

What avenues can this major lead you to?

Please help me out..

Personal trainer at the gym. Sounds like a good major for physical or occupational therapy school. PT aid/assistant.

Although you don’t need a degree to be a personal trainer. Just a certification. But as SS pointed out, you could always enter a professional program such as PT. Some schools even have accelerated programs, however these are usually competitive.

Not really…unless you’re planning on getting a PhD in kinesiology and going into research. All the other jobs can be obtained without wasting 4 years at school for it.

If the OP wants to get certified as a CSCS then he/she does need a 4 year degree.

You can get into graduate physical therapy and occupational therapy programs with that major. You could also go into athletic training, get into a chiropractic program, and even coach or scout.

Gym teacher.
