Can you enroll at two comm colleges at once?

If you are in a bind to bring up your GPA or meet the requirements for IGETC or the general breadth requirement, is it possible to be enrolled in two community colleges. Such as, you are enrolled at one college, where you started at, but also enroll in another and only take online classes, even just 4 credits (one class) a semester. It seems like it would be feasible, is it? Does anyone know of this being done? If you are taking 16 credits at one, and then the 4 credit class online at another school, is that possible?

Absolutely. Many people on this board including myself are doing it/have done it. The reason doesn’t even matter, but mine is because one specific course was unavailable at my local CC so I’m taking it online at another. The UCs have stated they do not care; you just list all of your CCs on the application.

^^^ agree
I concurrently enrolled at 3 colleges :)

WHat if you go over 18 units between the two colleges?? where it would be 16 at one and 4 at the other

what if you exceed 18 units?

I was able to take 23 units between two sister schools. So unless the colleges communicate, they will never know!

nice, well these are not sister schools. what if when i apply to a UC they see I had more than 18 units during one semester because of the accumulation of credits between two schools

They don’t care. I had 22 combined units from 3 different schools this semester and I got into Cal, LA, SD and SB.

Try to take classes of the same series (math science english) at one school to avoid confusion.
