I just transferred to a new school (grade 10) and because a long time has passed by already, most clubs arent accepting me as a member.

(and among honors and awards, they are all very stereotypical ones; the ones standing out are UKMT gold (its like AMC10 winner)
Now.
Mu Alpha Theta
Math peer tutoring
Computer/robotics club
(Clubs I couldnt join or intend on joining in grade 11: Golf team, tennis team, NHS, Beta club, student government, debate club)
How does it look so far?
My evaluation tells me that my positions held in the clubs were decent but the major problem is that my EC is just another carbon copy of someone else. What do you think and what other things can u advise me on? Is this enough (assuming that I get some leadership positions in the clubs I join) for Penn? Thanx for all the advices given all the time.

ah yes. I forgot to mention I do community service at hospitals starting from now and also do habitat for humanities. Before, I did com. service at churches. 40 hours so far.

Just make sure you do lots outside of school now if you can't do the clubs. There must be some clubs you can join...Amnesty International is always doing letters, clubs that do work in the environment....they may not be your cup of tea, but you will meet some kids, and can get involved with something now. Your GC should have suggestions for clubs that aren't so closed. I would get into whatever you can. This way, when you want to run for club prez or whatever, more kids will know you!!!

I don't know about Penn. But youre EC's show very little continuity. You have a list of a ton of "little" clubs and things. If for example you were a math tutor for 4 summers in a row that would look a lot better. I understand your predicament, but it would look like you were not very committed to any one of these things. Also, nothing really stands out.
But, I think it wouldn't be terribly hard to stretch the truth on certain things like your community service.

umm... I'm only in grade 10 now! so I've only had one summer so far lol. Yes. Continuity was another problem I faced. Math tutoring and help clubs; I guess I need to develop a new club in the school.

and unfortunately, my previous school nor my current offers those well known concrete EC's like Amnesty international.

and thatz the list of ALL the ones I was involved in. I would take out the unneccessary (spelt wrong :D) useless clubs when i write the app. but I fear that if I do that, I would be left with a very small number of clubs.
