Can you get accepted at U Chicago without test scores?

I was recently waitlisted at the University of Chicago. I chose not to submit test scores in my application because I didn’t think they would help me stand out. I’m worried that this might’ve hurt my chances, so I’m wondering if anyone has been accepted to the school without submitting their scores or knows anyone that has.

I’m sure there were.

Someone posted in UChicago Class of 2023 Applicants on page 69 that she was accepted test optional.

Yes - they absolutely accepted a number of kids Test Optional. UChicago had an insanely-low admit rate this year and lots of applicants with top test scores were outright rejected. So don’t think it’s your lack of test score that put you on the waitlist. They simply don’t have the space to admit everyone who’d do well there.
