title says it all. i'm not sure if i'll be able to enroll in a pre-cal class next term. i took honors geometry and honors alg ii, but nothing besides that. i'm taking stats next term for sure, but i dunno if i'll be able to get into the pre-cal class.

but can someone get into cornell without taking it?

and if you have to take it, is it fine to take it at a cc? cuz i think that’s the only way it’ll fit in my schedule.

please answer, anyone, cuz i really wanna do my best to get into cornell and i think that is the only thing really lacking for me right now!

you’ll be at a huge disadvantage. take it at a CC.

yeah ok i’ll take it, but it IS perfectly fine if i take it at a cc? would it make any difference than if i took it at hs?

I don’t know, but I assume it would be fine. You should ask the Cornell Admissions Office, but it seems like it wouldn’t be a problem.
Good luck!

thanks! i might try that.

if anyone else already knows if it’d be just as good to take it a cc, please let me know! :)

I think it would be fine; a friend of mine is applying to CoE, however, he hadn’t taken a physics class, and he spoke to admissions in regards to whether or not it would be appropriate to take it at a CC and they encouraged it.

awesome!! i hope that applies to me too. i mean they DO offer honors pre-cal at my hs but it doesn’t fit in my schedule, so…

I don’t think it would be a HUGE disadvantage, but it might be a slight disadvantage. I’m pretty sure someone without a pre-calc background can still get in. The mathematics dept even offers calc prep (even though the credits do not count for graduation).
