Hi,

So my situation is a bit messed up. About two years ago when I only had ccc units, I applied to a couple schools and got into UCSB. At the time though due to some other reasons I went to a local CSU. Well, while I was there I was not totally satisfied with the education I was getting. Then I had some things happen, and now I am going to be attending a ccc again.

I have gotten mixed conclusions about getting into the UC system from my research. I've read that it doesn't matter how many credits as long as it is exclusively ccc units. Other sources say that you can have a mix as long as you don't have too many four-year units. I have about 100 semester credits, 20-something being from the four-year (I was only there a year), the rest from the ccc. Also the second semester I did at the CSU became a complete major change to biology, which now means I am at square one. There is really only one class that counts for the bio degree from the four-year and it is a first part intro Science class. Right now I am working on pre requisites for the biology degree.

I just very much hope I have another chance because I regret not doing what I wanted the first time. Is there exceptions for students who changed majors? If there is certain UC schools that would take someone like me, which ones are they? Is it true as soon as you attended another four-year, even if you go back to ccc, your pretty much locked out?
