Can you get into UCLA with a W on your record? (Transfer)

Hey everyone. New to this site so I don’t exactly know how this all works yet.
I’m hoping I can get opinions on whether or not I have a chance of getting into UCLA, UCSB, UCD with a W on my record.

I was reading that students with a W are in these categories:

  1. Denied by the school they want to transfer to because they gave up on that class.
  2. The W’s are overlooked by the school if the student took the same class again and did well.
  3. Some schools don’t care if there is a W, and will overlook them.

Here’s some info on me:
Currently 21 at an In-State community college. I’m Australian and not a citizen.

I have a 4.0 GPA at 39 semester units. I am in the honors program, however I am not sure if I’ll be able to finish it. I will begin my volunteering next semester. I am in two clubs. I’m debating to run for student council. I’m a communications/poly sci major.
Straight A’s, no fails, however I do have a W on my record. It was for a statistics class. I am planning to retake that class this summer.
I’m not sure if I stand a chance. Looking for opinions. I will be applying to schools this fall. I have 8 classes left (4 a semester).

UCLA will 100% not care about the W.

BTW, you might want to post in the future in the UC Transfers sub-forum.

You better retake it for a grade.

I am, as I mentioned I’m going to retake it this summer.

Thank you so much, @Ohm888 ! I will do that. I haven’t used this site in years so I’m kinda lost haha. Thank you again.

You don’t have to retake if you don’t need it for gen ed or major. 100% it will NOT affect your application.

I Withdrawed from many courses, and did not retake them. UCLA still accepted my pathetic ass.
