Can you get into UCLA with no foreign language?

Ok so I go to high school outside of the United States, and foreign language is just not offered at my current high school. Is it still possible for me to get into UCLA? It would be a real shame if I couldn’t go there.

Note: I also studied some foreign language in Years 7-8, but nothing in Years 9-12.

Have a look at their website, or go on college data. It will tell you clearly. In any case, your counsellor is going to have to explain in her or his letter that foreign language was not offered in HS, which is why you didn’t take it. Your 7-8 language will probably transfer on to your HS transcript. Talk with your counsellor about, this to ensure that information ison your transcript.

If you actually know a language other than English, there are various ways of fulfilling the requirement without high school courses.

Your language from years 7 and 8 should count. Also if your high school didn’t offer it,they can’t penalize you for not taking it. Did you mention that in your application? As long as they know that, you should be fine.
