Can you go back to ucla if you failed your first semester and then missed 2 semesters

I got into UCLA Fall 2012. I took 3 classes and I failed all of them. Then I was absent for 2 more semesters after that (winter and spring). In the meantime I was going to local community college. I took 2 classes and I failed those as well.

I made some terrible life decisions, no question there. I didn't know which direction I was headed with my life but now I have a better sense of where I'm going. I'm more mature, etc, blah blah blah. Now I want to go back to UCLA. My question is, can I re-attend UCLA this upcoming Fall 2013 after failing a semester and then being absent for 2 more? I already signed the exit interview (loans) btw.

Any help is extremely appreciated. Thank you guys.

Pretty sure you can’t go back. Heres the deal

"To return to the University after an absence of more than one term, students—except for those on PAL for non-UC study abroad—must complete an undergraduate readmission application and file it with the Registrar’s Office in accordance with published deadlines. A nonrefundable fee applies.

Students must submit official transcripts from all institutions (including UCLA Extension) and a completed Statement of Legal Residence with readmission applications. Coursework is evaluated when official transcripts are received. The paper records of nonregistered students, including transcripts submitted for transfer credit, are retained by the Registrar’s Office for five academic years after the last registered term.

Students who have not registered for five years must resubmit official transcripts of all work completed outside UCLA.

Readmission is generally approved if students were in good academic standing (2.0 grade-point average) when they left the University, if coursework completed elsewhere in the interim is satisfactory, and if readmission applications are filed on time.

The College or school may have other regulations. Contact the readmission clerk for more information at (310) 825-1091, option 6."

You should contact a counselor at College Academic Counseling and ask what you can do. My recommendation is to continue going to community college and take the courses seriously. Perhaps re-take the equivalents of the classes you failed at UCLA and take other classes that are required for your major. My guess is that you will probably need to put in at least 2 semesters at the community college with decent grades and then they might readmit you.

no, not this fall.
