Hello Im a Korean international student in USA. I wanted someone to evaluate my score and grade to get into University of Oxford. Also if I miss anything from the requirement, please tell me! (Currently Junior)

My ACT score is 33 and writing is 10.
SAT 2 math 1&2 = 800
SAT 2 chemistry = 800

Ap calculus bc (Im taking this test on May, but Im sure I will get 5 on this)
Ap chemistry (taking test this May. Im sure I'll get 5)
Ap Stat (planning to take this class next year and take text on my senior year)
Ap government ( planning to take this class next year and take text on my senior year)

GPA unweighted 3.97

I'll skip my extracurricular. It is not as fancy as others, but I think it is above average.

Since Oxford requires 3 Ap test scores and I only have 2 when I apply, do I just have to use my SAT 2 score instead of AP score? Or will they wait for my other AP score on my Senior year?(Im pretty sure they wont though.)

Also since I'm not an American resident but studying in USA, do I have to follow the requirement for Korean student or American student?

Oh one more thing. I heard that if you are taking BC, the college board will still give you the sub score for the AB part. If they do, does that count as one more AP grade? If it does, then I have 3 ap socres so…

What’s your grades in the reading section!!?

What subject are you applying to study? The APS should be irrelevant to the subject to which you are applying.

You can use SAT IIs, but you can’t double up so math will only count once (and, informally, APs are seen as more rigorous than SATIIs, though I know somebody who got into Oxford with just 3 SATIIs, but their subject had an aptitude test, which they nailed, and they had done well in national-level competitions in their subject).

If you don’t have enough test scores when you apply you can be given a conditional offer- that is the norm for UK students. In that case your letter would specify the conditions, eg “subject to your achieving scores of (x) in (exam)”.

Thank you for the response. My reading section score was 32.

I want to study management or marketing. That is why I am taking all math related subjects for SAT 2 and AP. Do you think it is better for me to use my AP or SAT2??

And whatelse do I need besides this scores? GPA, ACT, SAT 2 or AP, interview. Is that it?
Thank you

AP Chem is pointless and won’t “count”. Realistically, you’ll need AP Econ, AP Gov/comp, and another one in addition to BC and Stats.
BC is actually lower than Further Maths so it only counts once. SAT2Chem doesn’t count for Econ and AP BC counts as Math just like SAT Math2 so you can’t double count. Take SATSubjects in US History, and World History perhaps (to make up for the lack of APs).

Thank for the response. Because I am taking AP Stat and gov on my senior year, will it not count? So should I rather take more SAT 2 subjects before I apply to make up for the lack of APs?
Also do I need anything else beside these scores?

note that AP Chem would be very useful if you applied for STEM fields.
Yes, AP Stats and AP Gov will count, but although 3 is the minimum, 5 is what’s expected if you want a real shot. So you only have AP Calc BC that counts as of now. AP Stats, AP Gov, and another one + SAT2 scores would be necessary.
Then you’ll havea written test (all essay, typically one question/3 hours) plus the interview (look at the suggested bibliography, that should be 6-10 books to read).

fyi, there is no marketing course at Oxford.

Stats and Comp Gov count as 1/2 each, so together they will add 1 AP. Any offer may be conditional on those scores. AP > SATII in general, but you need some writing scores, so MYOS’s suggestion for SATIIs is a good one - English would be another good choice (why did you think all maths for managment/marketing in the first place?!). GPA is non-issue.
