Hi, everybody! I will be an up coming junior and I know I don't apply until senior year but I want to start making a list of schools that I can visit this summer and next summer so eventually I have a short list.

-I have a 97 average this far in HS ( idk what that would be on a 4 point scale my school doesn't do it that way)
-I am in the top 5% of my class (1500 students)
- I will take probably 3/4 AP classes ( my school doesn't offer a lot)
- Placing myself at about a 16-1800 on the SAT based on practice
- 10 hours with more to come of community service
-Some EC ,G2L (community service), SAVY (students against violence in youth), recreational softball, LGBT alliance, Prism ( like LGBT alliance)

My households yearly income is about 110k I've never qualified for any type of help so I'm assuming I won't qualify for financial aid. Or need based money

Ok so I live in NY, Newburgh exactly and for those who dont know, that's about 1 hour North West of NYC. I want to major in childhood education with an extension in early childhood education. Some things that I would like my school to have/ be

3 hours MAX from Newburgh, 4 from NYC
-1 hour MIN from Newburgh, 2 from NYC

with my major

low cost (maybe 20k)

NOT a Christian school

accepts AP's
And If you know if a school has the 3+2 bachelors masters degree program that would be helpful.

The schools that I have in mind are

SUNY Cortland
SUNY Binghamton
And maybe SUNY Albany
I need a bigger list
Any help is appreciated
Thank you!

I know i need more hours! I live in a suburban area and community service is hard to come by… Now that I’m older though ( i have a late birthday sept…) and will be driving i can do community service, in the city of newburgh and cornwall, cause where i live there is NOTHING! lol. But once I start driving My hours will be increasing. As for school I have to be 16 to volunteer… I’m almost there!

Yeah! I do go to NFA. That’s so weird lol. But new Paltz is too close I want to be close enough so I can come home when I really want to but far enough so I’m not always at home. I feel like that’s what will happen if I go to new Paltz

Consider Potsdam, probably more than 3 hours from Newburgh, but why limit yourself with the distance? A school that was originally was known as “Potsdam State Teachers College” certainly has turned out many NYS teachers. Clarkson University is there in Potsdam and St. Lawrence University & SUNY Canton are right next door in Canton.

If you desire some “city life” drive over into Ottawa, Ontario or go down to Syracuse.
