Can you guys help me pick classes for next semester?

Hi,

So um, I'm a BME at JHU...and yea, you gotta be kinda smart to get in, but I'm currently getting pwned. I got a 2.98 GPA last semester :(

So I have to take the following classes next semester...

Molecules and Cells - BME Requirement.
Organic Chemistry I - BME Requirement
Organic Chem Lab - REQ.

Circuits - I'm taking this as my focus area. I did fine in the last EE class I took (B+, so I have hope for this one)

and now my last class I'm at a standstill.

I need to start taking Humanities classes. I also need to take Data Structures. I AP'd out of Intro Java because of AP CS in High School. I have done no java at all since Junior year in High School. I will be a Soph. in college next semester.

So take Data Structures anyway? I can brush up this summer on Java! Or Should I take Intro Business, which I hear, if you do the readings and study, you'll get an A, which is good, because it'll help my GPA? Also its 4 credits, which helps too. Data Structures is 3. I can prolong either class to Junior Year. Given the workload what should I do?

Help!!

Thanks guys :)

p.s. I'm taking 2 classes [7 credits] over the summer, it'll bring my gpa up to ~3.2, so I'll be a bit more stable...lol

if you are at a dead tie, go to the class schedule for JHU and find out what professors are teaching your classes. Then go to RateMyProfessors.com and find out which professors are the easiest or better according to the students.

I agree. If you need both classes, just take the class that has the easier instructor since your just trying to get your gpa up right now

Good luck. Not a single one of my professors for the fall semester is on RateMyProfessor.

try pickaprof… it costs like 5 bucks for a month

Also check to see if your school has an in-house system. My undergrad school had a really good system that was widely used, so ratemyprofessor and such had few reviews. My grad school has a system run by the school and one by the students, but both of them seem to be mediocre at best due to low response rates.

I guess my community college is special. The only time my teacher isn’t on ratemyprofessor is when its like their first semester teaching.
