Can you guys PLZ help me with an essay?

Many students expand their view of the world during their time in college. Such growth often results from encounters between students who have lived different cultural, economic, or academic experiences. With your future growth in mind, describe a potential classmate that you believe you could learn from either within or outside a formal classroom environment.</p>

<p>I'm kinda lost. I'm just supposed to make up and talk about a friend I might have in college? ***? I can probably write something on topic, but I really don't know how I can make it good or make it stand out. Can you guys give me some ideas on what to write about?</p>

<p>This potential classmate should be different from you, so you could learn something from them & expand your tiny high school worldview. Maybe a different race or socioeconomic class, maybe they grew up in another country. In describing this person you would also reveal what about YOUR background makes you different. Sounds interesting, actually.</p>

<p>--talk about someone whose family immigrated to the states because of political turmoil in another country.</p>

<p>--talk about how their parents wanted to come here and give their child (your classmate) a better life, and how they struggled with it.</p>

<p>--talk about how customs & traditions contrasted (you v. classmate)</p>

<p>--put your classmate in a financially limited position and maybe describe about how life would be different.</p>

<p>just some ideas to ponder about.</p>
