Can you help me with my study habits (or lack thereof)?

I don't study at all. Yet I want to go to HYPSM and I know I should. My parents expect don't push and thats the same with me. So I admire yet also dislike hard workers (only because they can work and I just can't do anything). I still top my class in Australia but I know Andover is a whole new ball game so I gotta start. Especially with my courseload :(

Anyone have a motivational anecdote or article etc to help me study? Or any tips? Thanks

Use the Search function. There have been numerous threads about study habits, study tips, etc recently.

take your pick

Where is this search option?

On the top of each page, inbetween New Posts and Quick Links.

haha skatj. :D

Find a picture of your top pic for college, print it out on a huge sheet of paper, and put it where you would study.

Go to the Library a lot- sometimes the best way to study is when it's the only thing there for you to do.

Remember what you're working for! Find something that represents your dream life/dream college and surround yourself with those images. For example, my cell phone and laptop wallpapers are the Stanford Logo and my Binder has a Stanford brochure in the front. Keeps me determined =)

Haha, I like your advice ttan.

I should do the same, except clutter my books, binders, study desk, and clothing (..>_>) with Cornell stuff.

I think the psychological impact would work!

^^

For me, my study habits involve what ttan said (having a goal to work for) and my friends and I help each other out by competing for better test grades and placing small bets and such ^^

Oh, and ttan, good luck on getting into Stanford!

Write down realistic achievable everyday goals + your long term goals. Put that list next to your pillow and read it every morning. :)

bettergpa.com

I'm going to use it for junior year. It was amazing!!!!!

Hyunsook, really??

Is that site a scam?

Okay, I'm gullible, but I did just get the book e-mailed (turns out it wasn't a scam XD)

Let's see how it works??

...XD

What the heck???

Ok definitely tell me how that book goes.

30 minutes a day??? That's impossible!!!
