Can you help think of a college for me?

So when I started looking for colleges, I suppose I was a bit unrealistic in terms of location, mostly. I now realize that my parents probably won't want (let) me go very far away from home (I'm from NJ, I was thinking of schools in TN, SC, etc), so now I basically have to come up with a whole new college list.
I won't list all of my stats but here are the important ones: White Female from NJ. 1st time SAT- 2100 (71R, 68M, 71W). 3.8W very competitive private Catholic school that doesn't rank. 9 Varsity letters (would be 10 if I hadn't gotten injured this yr), captain of 2 sports, year round swimming for 9 yrs 21+ hrs per week. HS swim team county and state champs 2006.

I like warm weather, but the farthest away my parents want me to go is probably VA. If a college is right for me in every other way then I can look beyond the weather, but I really don't want to go to Maine or anywhere that's freezing cold most of the time. Also I'd prefer that the school is near (but not in) a city but I'm finding that most of the types of schools I like are in really rural areas..
I like schools such as Bucknell and Colgate in that they have a lot of athletic, social people. I'm on the quieter side but I love outgoing people and most of my friends are very outgoing. I'd prefer to go to a school where frats don't dominate the social scene but it's not a big deal if they do. Also- the M/F ratio is somewhat important to me, I don't want a 35/65 kind of lopsided ratio of guys to girls (but more guys than girls is fine :) haha)
I don't want a school that is notorious for overloading kids with work, or one that is overly/annoyingly intellectual. I don't want a school full of dumb kids but I don't want a stifling..ly academic atmosphere.

So far these are some of the schools I'm looking at:
W&L
W&M
Colgate (except for the weather... I have to see about that)
Bucknell
Lehigh/Lafayette
Muhlenberg
Catholic (hopefully merit aid?)
Susquehanna (" ")
Wesleyan (legacy.. not so sure about this one)

I like a couple of those (Bucknell, Colgate, W&M), and don't like a couple others (Catholic is the worst, Wesleyan is very extreme- i.e. not like you).

Also, I think you could go up a couple notches in terms of selectivity. Try UNC-CH and UVA, I think you would like them alot and both are great schools only 6 hours from some parts of Jersey. The weather at those is great, people are social and fun, and they aren't huge compared to many other state schools.

Georgetown might work, although I think the other two are better fits. Boston College is another school worth checking out (but its cold). Emory would be perfect for you, if you could get your parents to realize that everything is only a flight away. My brother is 5 hours away from college driving and I was 13 hours away, and my bet is I saw them more often. These days flights are so cheap and gas so expensive, that it isn't much more to fly vs. drive.

I'll beat Par to it; I suggest you look at Holy Cross- it's a great school with strong sports teams that might fit you. Possibly Williams. If you could go below VA, definitely Davidson.

bump......

Look at American University in Washington, DC. Look at Rhodes College- though your parents may say that it's too far away. How about Villanova?

I would look at the United States Military Academy, West Point, NY; the United States Merchant Marine Academy, Kings Point, NY; the United States Naval Academy, Anapolis, MD. They all seem to be good fits.

Of those three, I would pick Kings Point first.

Air Force and Coast Guard don't seem to be fits

coughs syracuse university, syracuse NY coughs
