Can you "hide" your scores from colleges? I heard that you can't once you get your scores and that colleges will see ALL SAT II scores. Is this true? From other people they say that they won't be able to see the scores you choose for them not to see. I kind of need to know this before Wednesday in order to decide whether or not to cancel a potentially awful US History score. =/

Once you take the SAT or SAT IIs, and if you do not cancel your scores, colleges will be able to see all of your SAT and SAT II scores. Unlike the ACT, there is no way just to report some of your scores.

If the colleges can see ALL of your scores, then what's the point of sending them? I thought if you don't want to send it, they won't be able to see it.

The different accounts thing would be probably illegal/unethical (besides, how're you going to do that?, Remember you'll be applying to college with the same details that are on your SAT report/account)

I'm not certain, but I'd guess that colleges that say they'll only look at your top 2 scores in the Subject Tests will do just that. whoever sorts through the information and creates your file will only note down your top two scores. That being said, if the US History score's really awful, (not CC awful), then you could consider canceling, especially if you have enough time to retake.

Wisly,
They will see the scores only when you request them to be sent. If you are applying in fall 2007, you will have to send your scores to schools who require SAT or SAT 2's. At that time, they will see all of your SAT and SAT 2 scores. The only way to "hide" a score would be a scenario like this: you take the SAT in June and get a 2100 total. You think you might score higher if you take it again, but aren't sure. You send the 2100 score to schools in November. In December you take the SAT again and get a 1950. You don't have to send this score because they already have your 2100. You have "hidden" your 1950 score.
