Can you live on campus at state colleges like at a University

I've decided to give up on my dream of going to a UC staraight from hs since my grades have started slipping and my gpa will probably be 3.00 by end of junior year or 2.9 and aren't you suppose to submit b4 senior yr? Going to a state college will save $ and I won't have to write an essay to apply, right? Also is it required to live on campus freshmen yr like you do at a university or do they even have dorms on campus? The only thing I worry about is state colleges might have more partying since I've heard more about state colleges having a party rep.

What do you mean, state colleges? Do you mean something like community colleges or the CSUs? If you’re talking about the CSUs (Cal State Universities), then yes, they have dorms on campus.

Ya a CSU…thanks looks like I’ll still get to move out and live on my own just how I wanted :D

Just to clarify, most (all?) UCs do not require you to live on campus Freshman year.
