so i was wondering if i could get into gtown sfs with a 600 IN MATH IN SAT????

but my CR is 700, my SATIIs are good, i'm mexican-american, i have good grades, good (or great) essays, great recs, amazing ECs, and i'm like super ridiculously interesting (ie, no one ever in the history of college admissions comes close to standing out as much as me)
i didn't save the world
i just have a very interesting life story
that can be seen via transcript
ANYWAYS
CAN I GET IN WITH A 600 SAT!?!?!?!?!?!?!?
it seems like everyone who's accepted has like 750+....
PLEASE.
HELP.
ME.

ps. i'm retaking it in jan, hoping to get a 730CR and 630+ in math

PLEASE HELP!?
thanks!

You know the answer: anyone CAN theoretically get in, especially a URM with a compelling story to tell.
Without that, you’d probably be dead in the water with a 1300/1600 SAT.

You should seriously consider changing your screen name.

“no one ever in the history of college admissions comes close to standing out as much as me”

if this is truly the case, then you really shouldn’t have a problem, should you?

Terroristlatino (I agree, that’s an awful name, change it.) Be careful about overevaluating your app - overconfidence is never a good thing. With that being said, I still wish you luck.

It’s not impossible to get accepted to the SFS with a score below 700 in math, but it’s still much harder. I was accepted this year EA with a 640 math score (combined with 750 cr), and I know a handful of other individuals who were accepted with scores similar to mine. What I would really emphasize, though, is that my case (and the handful of other ones) are outliers. They can’t be depended upon and taken as any sort of “sure sign of acceptance.” There’s definitely still hope, and I encourage you to raise that SAT score as much as possible, but just be aware that the rest of your application will need to truly shine. I’m not going to lie, it’s going to be a ding (I was freaking about this during the application process too), but it can be overcome. Score high on the critical reading section (750+), too, and that will help.

hey terrorist latino is the best screen name ever :D

yea i know…i’m freaking out about that too. but i think the rest of my app SHOULD shine…i’m really not being over-confident, i just have a unique case

do you know whats the lowest SAT score that someone has had and gotten into Gtown with?
i’m worried that when i retake the SAT i won’t get a super high CR or a higher math score though :s even though i’ve been studying…

btw…i have a 28 on the ACT. something like 33 on english but 26 on math.
would you recommend sending that instead or sticking with my SAT score?
