<p>On common app, it indicates that my recommendation assignments are complete however, one of my recommenders still HAVE NOT sent in their recommendation. I'm really worried because of the Dec 1st deadline. Are apps not considered if the recs are not received by that date??? Also, I wanted to make sure that the deadline for Dec 1st is 6pm right??</p>

<p>You are required to meet application deadline. If that means submitting app without a rec letter, you must do it. Rec letters can arrive after deadline and those can even be sent via mail as long as the letter has enough info on it to identify you as the same person on the application. Note however that many colleges want rec letters sent by deadline date and thus you better contact the teacher who has not submitted one yet and let him know of the issue.</p>
<p>Unless the college specifically says a different time of day for sending of app, the deadline for submission of an electronic application is 11:59 p.m. of the designated application deadline date with that time determined (eastern, central, mountain or pacific) by the location of college.</p>
