I already have a roomate, but I was wondering if you can pick suite mates? When I saw Craige during Explore Carolina, I noticed they're practically your room mates, since the suites are entered through outside hallways. Just wondering :)

lol the same question is being asked in the “Class of 2014 housing!” thread right now. I would really like to know, too. :)

i just did the first-year housing app. there was no option for suitemates unfortunately

aw man, really? because someone who went there told me me, my roomate, and 6 other people could apply as a full suite and it makes their job easier? Idk, i just am kinda worried about random suitemates, not that I don’t have faith in fellow tarheels, but you never know.

this is an extreme, but funny story: an AP us history teacher at my school who went to cornell did “random roomate” at Cornell for her freshman year, and she was paired with…a nudist. Found out first day. worst case scenario- true story! hahah

roommate**

lol. Yeah, my roomate and I have a third friend who wants to be in our suite because he cant room with us, but we didnt have that option. we just had him put the same housing choices so maybe we would get lucky.

You can reserve seats after your first year here, I don’t think you can if you are applying for your first year here next year. You could always give housing a call to see what they could do, but it would likely be most likely to happen in one of the high rises.

That wouldn’t be the end of the world. Like I said in another thread, all dorms will be air-conditioned by the time you new people get here.
