Can you please chance me for Case Western Reserve University?

Heyy! I know these posts are annoying but I am a rising senior and I am desperate! Just bear with me. Please be honest.
Thank you
I want to major in Biomedical Engineering and Case Western is one of my top choices. I am an International student from India. I think my high school is pretty popular and is competitive.

I am doing the IBDP, these are my DP1 grades:
Biology HL: 6
Chemistry HL: 6
Psychology HL: 7
Math SL: 6
English SL: 6
French Ab initio: 5

I took the ACT once and well, lets just say it was terrible. I am a bad test taker. I am taking the ACT in September aiming for a 31 composite. I want to take my Subject SATs in October (but I might change my mind on this one). Do I need to take the Subject SATs?

Well, taking them certainly won’t hurt, and if you manage to get a good score in SAT biology for example it will certainly help you (related to your major). Unless there’s another test you want to take on the same date, go for them.
Your grades are good for Case, and if you get your 31 in the ACT it will be even better. I say apply.

Thanks! That certainly calmed me down.

Also keep in mind that CWRU considers the applicants level of interest to be important.
Here are ways to demonstrate that interest:

Hey thanks! I requested an Alumni Interview and I signed up for information. Also, one more question, do you know the acceptance rate and the average ACT score for the 2016 fall class?

@FIN2187

I am not sure the admission statistics information for 2016 is out yet. I believe all colleges wait until about mid-September to post that. (Until the end of the “census date,” when all of the information on exactly who shows up is official.)

However, I did just see an interesting article that shows that of the Top 50 US News ranked colleges, CWRU had the highest percentage application growth in the period of 2003-2013 at 294%. (The next closest were University of Chicago at 233%, Vanderbilt at 216%, RPI 208%, Northwestern 124%, Johns Hopkins 113%, Sanford 108%, Rice 105% and all the rest less than 100%). Clearly as the article is entitled, “The Most Popular Colleges in America Aren’t the Ones You’d Expect” …unless you’ve seen CWRU.

Oh damn! Thanks for the article.

thanks but I wanted the 2016 stats. I guess they don’t come out until mid-September as Wizard2 pointed out.

The popularity continues at Case. At the University welcome for 2020 students the number of applicants given was at 23,… Students.

CWRU has updated the link that @bopper provided previously. https://admission.case.edu/apply/class-profile/
While it does not have the acceptance rates for this year, which they probably have to wait until all of drop/add has ended in mid-September, it does give some interesting updates. Basically, it looks like all of the test score averages are higher. For example, it went from a ACT 33 composite to be in the top 1/4 of students at CWRU last year to a 34 ACT composite to be in the top quarter. The interactive map they have provided to see the location of where all the students came from is really cool to look at as well. It is clear that CWRU is incredibly diverse school in every way that makes for a great college experience. The number of in-state students dropped again to 21%, as the school continues to get more know around the country and the world (now 14%.international students).
