I think I’m good for extra curriculars. Have been doing more of the best clubs than I can fit on the common app for 4 years now. Also I went to Cornell this summer and got an 4.0 in an english class and a 3.3 in an engineering class. Additionally I do long distance running and triathlons. Got first place in my age group for the 2 triathlons I’ve raced in. Finally, I’ve volunteered at an animal hospital for 150 hours.
As for the lacking AP classes and honors classes, the honors classes have been full since I started asking to join in 9th grade, and the AP Calc is the first AP class we’ve ever had.
For my common app essay I wrote about my experience of raising two baby cockatiels since they first hatched and I’ve been told that it is a funny and unique essay. I basically talk about it like I was a single parent. I’m happy to send it if anyone want’s to read it!
We don’t have weighted GPA’s. So my only GPA is 3.7 so I guess that would mean unweighted since it’s not affected by anything. We do technically have weighted GPA’s but its just for rank, I don’t think colleges know about it. But in that case my weighted is 4.0
Yes I’m out of state. And I am taking AP calc, like were learning the material and taking the test at the end for out of 5, but I think my school was lazy and just labeled it as an honors course. I have no idea which one it will come up as. Also, yes and I can afford it
