pakiboy is right. california universities take in a lot of California community college students. Even though may be a reach for you, look at UC-Davis, UC-Irvine, UC-Santa Cruz and maybe even USC or UCLA since you’re already in the LA area.

Well i really thought i had no chance at SC or UCLA or for that matter Berkeley so i haven’t become that int rested..

If this helps you better predict my major is political science
the reason for transfer is i want to go to a more prestigious school and eventually go to law school

If i can add to the list

Loyola Marymount,
UC Irvine,
USC,
UCLA
Syracuse
Depaul
University of San Diego
Indiana
Pepperdine

transfer admission deadline for all UC’s have passed … it was Nov 30th

Honestly give it a try … make a list … select 3 dream schools… and 2 “reach” schools… and 1 safety

Apply… and then wait and watch…
*If that 3.1 came from a 4-year… i would have recommended u to add Georgetown…the best in political science!

Remember… most universities will look upon your GPA as a 2.8 which is a B- when equated with a 4-year GPA.

Bet it or not … most 4-year school don’t consider community college GPA equal to a student coming from another 4-year. For example… UMICH states that students coming from 4-year must have a B average whereas students coming from community colleges must have a B+ average.

You get the idea! …
Have faith in yourself…always include a safety school…and apply to all the shortlisted schools u dream of… and leave it rest to the God! …
