When I look up colleges in Princeton Review for Environmental Science/Studies, the list is dauntingly large. How to even know where to begin. So if anyone has any recommendations, it would be appreciated.

D is from North Carolina and has good stats in case that helps with what colleges to recommend (4.0 unweighted GPA, 4.8 weighted GPA, 2250 SAT, 33 ACT, 6 AP classes total (5's in first 2 APs, still taking last 4 AP classes).

She's thinking Environmental Studies now...but would like a college that offers a lot of majors in case that should change.

She has several great options in NC. UNC Chapel Hill, Duke, Davidson, NC State, and Warren Wilson have excellent programs. UNCW could be good if she’s into marine policy.

To narrow down your options, it’s always best to start with the basics.

Which part of the country (Midwest, Southeast, etc.)?

Public or private?

Coed or single-sex?

Rural, suburban, or urban?

Small (< 2000), medium (2000-10000), or large (10000+)?

Is cost a concern?
