I heard that it gets harder and harder to get a higher score as you get higher scores. And I'm starting to see that (aka I decreased by a significant amount the second time I took the test) So, I was wondering how to close the gap of around 100 points or more in each section? I've studied all of the Barrons books, some princeton and kaplan, gone through a lot of vocab (which i'll probably do again), and all of the blue book. So I think I definitely prepared. But how do I get closer to the 800 in each section? I don't expect myself to be perfect, but it would be nice to get a higher score. If anybody has any experience, can you direct me to any books or methods to study?

Thanks in advance.

well... here's my opinion:

you're right that as the scores go up, it becomes harder to improve. However, usually, the difference between a 750 and say, an 800 is a careless mistake or two. What are your scores exactly by the way? If they're below 700, then there's rooom for improvement, but if you're above 700, it's a matter of time management during the test and eliminating careless mistakes

CR is below 700, W is at 700, M is slightly above 700.... I guessing the only thing I can do is practice more? sigh

You can definitely practice CR to get it better. In terms of math, if it's only slightly above, then there are probably a couple of concepts that the math SAT has that you don't yet understand. Writing... well, if you need improvement on the essay, write more and ask your english teachers to look over your essays and give their input. If it's the MC on the writing, find some SAT grammar books or something like that

I have a question: you say that if we're over 700's, it is just a matter of careless mistakes. How should we get rid of those?
