Can you retake an SAT II and just send the better score to colleges?

Pretty straightforward question. :)

Depends on whether the college uses score choice. Yale requires that all SAT and SAT II scores be sent to them. Collegeboard has a list somewhere on their website.

If the school does use score choice, it’s possible to pick which score can be sent for the same subject test, right? I read somewhere on CC that a few years ago, if a specific test was retaken, both scores would have to be sent - so I wanted to confirm that that’s not the case.

I just read recently, but don’t recall where, maybe the CB website?, but that if you repeat a specific test, both scores will be sent… you cannot choose just one of them.

That’s what I read too, and it’s a scary thought…but the post I found was from a few years back so I’m wondering if the policy is still the same.

i got a 690 on the SAT II US…im actually depressed, should i retake it/
I also I’m reaching for over a 28 on the ACT
my first SAT score was a 1560, without any studying but im hoping for over an 1850.
I’m hoping for me that colleges will look more at my ACT score, i have so muc EC and my essay is a one off kind that they will probably never read about since its really unique…HELP
im new to CC so sorry to barge in on this question but how does one create a post? lol
