So… I messed up and presented a sloppy version of myself. If I get deferred can I send in a new fixed version of my application with a not expressing my continued interest? Are you allowed to do that?
No. But you can send in any updates that you deem appropriate.
Can you send in portions at least? because I would like to submit a more in depth activity section sheet. @skieurope
If not that’s a bummer but I’ll have learned from my mistake for other schools haha
You submitted a sloppy version of yourself in your original application? That is what they will judge you by.
There is a fine line between providing an update and communicating “I did not care enough to put in the work the first time around.”
Regardless, hold off until decisions are actually announced.
@skieurope could I like direct message you the changes I would make and see if that constitutes as an update?
Sure
If you have new accomplishments or if you forgot something completely, put together an email to admissions. Reiterate your strong interest and ask them to consider the additional information. I would not go beyond that. I’d assume you have more RD apps to go — I’d assume you’ll improve those apps.
I think you should do what it takes to get you admitted if you have to mail them new accomplish let your Counselor submit them on your behalf. It will be accepted. I also got deferred an International student with only 1310 score on the SAT. So I guess there is hope for everyone.
