Can you still get accepted with a low act score?

I will and I heard the sat is harder and longer? Is that true?

I think that there is a bigger issue than admissions. The real question is would you be able to handle your college coursework? You didn’t seem to take the ACT seriously and that is a huge indicator of your dedication to academics.

If you honestly got a composite score of 11, I think it’s safe to say you will find yourself completely overwhelmed with college material regardless of wherever you are admitted.

EDIT: An 11 on the ACT is in the 1st percentile. That is, 99% of people who took the ACT got better than 11. Keep in mind that based on the ACT College Readiness Standards, you need a 18E, 22M, 21R, and 24S (Around 21 Composite) to be considered ready for college.

I will also call bs on this. An 11 is Litteraly impossible with an elementary education.

This is the root of confusion: The OP is confusing the 1-36 scale of the composite and subscores with the 1-12 scale of the essay. He scores a 12/36 on the english/writing NOT 12/12, which would be a perfect score. The OP saw his “12” for “English/Writing” and thought it was perfect because he saw that the essay has a 1-12 scale. Truth, though, is that he got a 12/36 which is sadly not a perfect score.

How is it going now that it has been a couple years? Are you in college? Is it going well? How have you handled the work load? I would really appreciate a reply. I was accepted into a college under probation. I got a low score as well… 13… Not proud of that at all! But my GPA was good. I think I just messed up the test.

The OP hasn’t posted in over two years. Closing thread.
