If you haven't taken any science AP's and aren't really that good at science/math, can you still be successful as an engineer? Whenever I think engineering I think of five-year-olds building rockets and then they go on to middle school having already taken Multivariable Calculus IV and then go to MIT and teach the professors. Anyways, is this always the case or can one still major in engineering without being TOO strong in or inclined towards math and science?

Easily. Engineering is passable. You'll just have to work your ass off. And if you don't have the drive you can get snuffed out. However, it looks like you're going to Stanford or Yale. Schools not exactly known for a rigorous program.

^What do you mean?

Why do you want to major in engineer if you're not a crazy math/science nerd?

^ you can love a subject but not be great at it. That doesn't mean you shouldn't pursue it.

Our society is so close to communism that anyone can do anything he wants and live. Don't waste this privilege. Do what you want.

So if you don't like/not good at science/math, why engineering?

he (she?...It?) didn't say he didn't like it, he just said he isn't good at it. Like I said, that is no reason to not do something.

Well, I'm in a similar predicament. I find engineering/science very interesting, but I've just never been good in math nor science. I haven't taken one AP science course, and I can't take a science SAT II if my life depended on it. I find it interesting nonetheless though. I'm also wondering if its possible to go into an engineering or science major even if you have absolutely no background in science while in HS. (I've taken the classes, but didn't learn anything b/c my teachers couldn't teach.)
