I’m planning on submitting my Common App to Harvard by tomorrow, but all other schools by Jan. 1.
I have 2 SAT scores, October and December. I don’t know my December scores yet, but I sent both to Harvard.
However, I didn’t send any official score report to Columbia because they allow self-reporting and I used up all my free score reports.
Common App doesn’t proceed unless I enter the highest subscore out of my known October and unknown December scores. I’m okay if I don’t put the scores for my application I submit to Harvard since I sent them my official score reports, but I really need to list both on the Common App for Columbia.
I’m going to submit my Columbia application by Jan. 1 which is after my December SAT scores come out. Is it possible to edit my Common App after submitting it once?
Yes, you have to resubmit the common app to each individual school, so you can edit it in between submissions. Any changes made before submitting to school B will NOT be resent to school A; school A will still have the application as it was when it was submitted to them.
@guineagirl96 What about the essay? Can I submit one version for school A, edit my essay, and then submit the new version for school B?
Yes
@guineagirl96 Have you had this experience? I’m almost scared to do this since my GC never had anyone do something like this before and told me I probably won’t get to edit once I submit it once.
@equality4all I’ve done it for a couple of schools already (2-3 times). Really no big deal. Just check the preview before you submit and make sure everything’s right.
Also haven’t heard about not being able to edit it- I thought it’s unlimited edits now? (Used to be limited, if I’m correct).
Best of luck.
Thank you everyone for your responses!
