Can you take classes in a Cornell school different from your own?

Lets say I want to go to Cornell CALS and major in biometry and statistics. Can I take some math classes or humanities in CAS? If so how many credits?

Also what is the maximum number of credits that you can receive in Cornell from APs and or gap year?

Of course you can. The number of classes you can take varies depending on which college you are in, and is also based on how many credits you are taking within your college.

in CALS, the limit for APs is 30 credits. you can have a total of 60 transfer credits (AP credit is counted as transfer credit). you can take up to 55 credits in the endowed colleges. however, many classes are crosslisted so you don’t really run into those problems. if you do, imo, you probably should switch your college…
