Can you take Collin College courses in summer before Freshman Year at UTD?

I am thinking of taking 2 summer courses in Collin College next summer (2015) before starting as a Freshman at UTD. This will help me graduate early. If I do take Collin College courses as planned, will that void my freshman status at UTD? I am concerned it will, and will void my AES schol. too. Does anyone know?

Wow nobody can answer this? C’mon someone must have done this before

Hm, also interested in this. Anyone?

This is not the best place to get this type of advice…I would use r e d d i t for more access to current students at UT Dallas. If you are worried about voiding the AES, why not call the AES office and know for sure instead of guessing.

Also, consider you will also need to attend freshman orientation. It is mandatory to sign up for classes and is a two day program.

You need to talk to your adviser at UTD and get permission to take the classes at Collin College. This is especially important if you have a scholarship award from UTD because taking classes elsewhere without getting prior approval can cancel your award. If you do have an award, be sure to talk to an AES adviser and get permission in writing.
