can you tell me if this curve is off?

ok, i finally got my SAT scores today:

on CR i got a 730 (1 omitted, 4 wrong = 61 raw score)

on math i got a 740 (0 omitted, 2 wrong = 52 raw score)

on writing i got a 770 (MC: 1 omitted, 0 wrong = 48 raw score; 10 essay)

the MC score was 760.

is it just me, or does it seem that my writing and math curves are EXTREMELY tough? i never thought you could lose 40 points for a single question wrong? and 60 for two questions wrong? it just seems crazy to me.

can ppl with the same raw scores as me post their final score /800? thx

hah. Yes, math and writing do seem tough. Normally, -2 math is 760 and -1 writing is usually 78 or so.

Dude, that's rough. I omitted two math and got a 770. I think I missed like four verbal and got a 740. Yeah, in the high stratospheres it favors those who omit. That's a shame.

Your writing and math curves are tough, but writing and math are generally harshly curved. I missed 3 on the MC and got a 72 in the writing (without the essay, I got a 9 on that), and I missed 1 grid in, 2 bubble in, and omitted 2 grid ins on the math. I got a 720, so I think my math curve was decent but my writing one was about as harsh as yours (-3=72? Please.) I can understand your plight, though. I was mad that -3 got me a 72 and the essay forced me to a 710, but I'd be angrier in a way if a single question got me a 76, harsh curve indeed.
