Can you transfer as a double major?

Hello, I am wondering if you can transfer and end up as a double major?

Currently, I am attending my university as a double major in applied math and environmental engineering. I’ve lived near that university for almost all my life and taken many courses in math there- I’ve just finished real analysis and I’m taking complex variables next semester as a freshman. I talked to my advisor and he said that if I had minored in math, I could finish my minor after taking only two more math courses (or 6 courses over my four years for my major).

I intend on transferring for either my sophomore or junior year as an environmental engineering major. But it feels like all my work in math would be a complete waste if I didn’t at least minor in it. My questions are:

  1. If I minor in my at my current uni, could I get a minor at my current univ and a major at my transferred uni when I graduate?
  2. If I choose to transfer and I haven't completed my minor yet, could I apply for minor at my transferred uni even though I'll only have to take like one more course to complete the minor?
  3. If I want to double major at my transferred uni, would I have to basically reapply for transfer again (since math and engineering are different colleges)? Or could I just wait a semester and then ask to double major like any other student?

Whether you can complete a minor or a second major will depend entirely on the place that you end up graduating from. You need to read through their degree programs, and see whether or not you meet the requirements for the second major.

If the majors are in two different divisions of the university that you end up attending, there will be a clear policy about what must be done to major in two different divisions. So look for that information on the website too.
