Can you transfer from a ccc to a UC during spring semester?

I am going to be a freshman this year at saddleback this August. I plan on transferring to a UC as a civil engineering major. I just registered for my classes today, and I was wondering if the UCs wil let me apply for spring quarter in 2.5 years. Also, I wanted to know if I can still get a TAG if I apply for spring quarter. This is my current academic plan for the next two and a half years:

first sem:
geology 20, english 1a, speech 5, psychology 1

second sem:
chem 1a, math 3a, english 1b, computer science 1a

summer:
physics 4a

third sem:
math 3b, physics 4b, engineering 31, computer science 1b

fourth sem:
math 3c, physics 4c, engineering 33,

summer:
math 24

fifth semester:
math 26, chem 1b, biology

After that I'll hopefully be able to transfer to a UC for spring quarter. I'm not taking a math my first semester because it was full, and i made this plan based off of me me not getting the class even after petitioning. Is it bad if I don't take one the first semester, considering I'm an engineering major? It does makes it easier for me to get straight A's the first semester. Does this plan seem reasonable for an engineering major? Will the UCs accept me as a spring applicant? Please give as much feedback as possible.

Is there anyone willing to reply? I’ve had almost a hundred views and no one’s bothering to give some advice…

For the past two admission cycles, most California public U’s have not been accepting any transfer students for spring semester or winter/spring quarter–due to budget cuts. Not sure about this coming spring, but the budget squeeze is likely to keep things status quo, IMO. So I don’t think anyone could know what will be in 2 1/2 years, but it doesn’t look good.

I would think that the transfer counselors at Saddleback should be able to help you. It seems that as long as you have 60 credits, you should be able to transfer–why wait another semester?

You see the thing is, if i want to get a tag, i have to complete all the prerequisite classes the UCs want me to do, otherwise they won’t give me one. I can only finish my classes in two 2.5 years, considering I don’t get the math class I petition for.

most-all UC’s did not accept spring or winter transfers this last year. research and find out if they do this year, if not than no.

A UCR admissions officer told me their winter admissions is tentative this year. I think that’s your only choice.
