Hi! I’m currently a junior OOS student and I really badly want to go to UT Austin. However, I doubt I can get in as a freshman in fall because I had one really really bad semester. Assuming my senior grades are good and I attend another UT school can I transfer to UT Austin after one semester?
No. You need to have 30 hours completed.
You do have to have 30 hours, but I can’t say for sure if they have to be in-residence. Meaning, you might be able to transfer your AP/dual credit to meet the req. Not sure though, look into it.
@goldengem42 Yes! I have heard of a few people who have done that and I would have done it had I known. Make sure the credits are transferable and maybe taking some classes over the summer would help!
But they’re right about having 30 hours ^^! AP Tests definitely count so take as many as you can and make 4-5 and you shouldn’t have a problem if it’s COLA that you’re looking into.
