I just did an official CC advanced search. It turned up 3 threads. 1) this one 2) another one saying that triples are disallowed 3) a third thread saying they are disallowed
so i’m not sure where you found people claiming a triple major???

http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/engineering-majors/651357-triple-major-uva.html

well this person didn’t do it but wanted to. it’s a bit old but there isn’t any update whether or not this person did go through with a triple major.

i also read that someone did somewhere else but i can’t find it.

No wonder I didn’t see that one, it wasn’t posted in our forum (the UVA part)! ^.^;; The eschool is known for being able to get tons of extra minors. But doing even 2 purely engineering majors there is usually undoable, let alone a major outside of engineering (which requires who knows what with prereqs and so on, not to mention scheduling or time).

From your other posts, you are going to BU (looking to transfer out)? If you do polisci here you will not really have time to double major, coming in as a transfer there are a lot of general ed electives you need to take and you’ll be busy with those. Anyways HTH!

I see. I’m not sure if I’m going to BU, I still have to apply lol.

I live in state, so I don’t mind staying an extra year or two to complete my gen ed courses, so the tuition wouldn’t be a big problem.

btw what is HTH?

it means “hope that helps!”
you also are only allowed 8 semesters here, including the ones you took other places, so it isn’t as simple as staying an extra year or two…

Ohhhh I c.

thank you!
