For some reason I have an inkling that I can't use my Ti-89. Am I right or wrong?

I also have a Ti-83 Plus. Can I use that?

Do proctors always clear memory/ram? I have a bunch of programs saved on both calculators.

No.
Right.
Yes.
No.

I hate that I can't use my 89. I love it. I'll either have to use my beat up 83 or borrow and 84 from my teacher.

You can't use the Ti-89. The procters did check for these calculators when my son took the test.

Proctors cannot touch your calculator to clear memory or for any other reason.

Proctors are supposed to check for Ti89's before testing begins and then again during the Mathematics section, and they are allowed to cancel your test if they find that you are using an unapproved calculator.

The real deal is that a proctor is not going to cancel your scores unless he/she really doesnt like you. The paperwork is immense and they need to have some objective evidence of wrongdoing, so you basically have to give him/her a strong reason to kick you out. Most likely, the proctor will just tell you that the Ti89 is not approved and ask you to put it away, but allow you to continue taking the exam.
