Can you user Summer Course credit, to Transfer into a CSU.

I am seeking to transfer into a CSU this coming Fall of 2015.

I was already accepted into my desired CSU.

They are requesting my transcripts, to verify that I have 60 transferable units/credits before they can finalize my enrollment.

Thing is, by the end of this current Spring 15 semester, I will have exactly 59 transferable units.

I would not mind taking a few summer classes to lock in the security of being able to transfer, and just submit my summer classes to the school which would put me way over 60 units after the summer semester.

Thing is, I have been told by a couple friends that the CSU’s do not accept Summer credits for transfer eligibility the summer PRIOR to transfer into their school during the fall?

Is this correct? I was under the impression that you can still take summer classes at your community college, prior to transferring into a CSU during the fall, because the transcript would show that you have classes in progress that you are taking and the school would still accept you?

What is the correct ruling on this?

Call admissions.

You have to complete 60 transferable semester units by the end of the prior Spring term for fall entrance. Summer term will be included for spring entrance.
