<p>Yes, if you get ASE credit for a course that’s not required for your major, then it will count as general elective credit toward your degree. (Officially, either 18.06 or 18.03 could count as REST – Restricted Electives in Science/Technology – credit, but lots of other course 7 classes also count toward that requirement also.)</p>
<p>No math courses outside 18.01 and 18.02 are required for course 7.</p>
