<p>you're basically "awarded" scholarships to entice you to the school. you technically "accept" the scholarship when you commit to the school. don't worry you're fine.</p>

Not necessarily. Check the specifics of the scholarships as some scholarships have to be specifically accepted. My daughter's had to be accepted by a specific date (quite separate from committing to the school) or she would not have got it.</p>
<p>ok...."at most schools," but not all, you're awarded a scholarship and if you enroll you receive the merit aid, which is deducted from tuiton and costs. </p>
<p>if your scholarship letter doesn't say anything about "accepting" a scholarship then i think it's safe to assume that if you enroll you receive the scholarship; hence indirectly "accepting" it i guess.....</p>
