<p>Is it true that the progs that accept international students consider Canadians as non-resident Americans? In other words, do I have an advantage over other int'l applicants because I'm Canadian?</p>

<p>Really, yes. Med schools are always a bit worried (needlessly I think) about the adequacy of other types of premed pgms, but of course they recognize there's no real diff btwn the US & Canada, so I think that makes everyone more comfortable.</p>
