Yes, the fits aren’t flattering. That’s the style among many trend setters in NYC.
But, it’s has a following now and is a cult insiders brand. The hip young crowd, which is the same that embraced Carhut etc before.

As for CG, it’s more of a mass market luxury brand, and hence not viewed with status by the NYC urban fashion crowd. It’s funny that if a brand tries too hard it loses its authenticity. They need to be ironic! The line for CG outside their SOHO store is primarily Chinese tourists, according to the doorman there. That may be as there are only a few stores in China. Whenever I walk by though, its a line of like 10 people. New Yorker’s won’t wait in lines like this unless its great pizza!

I do understand though that if it is warm, high quality and you like the fit they do seem like a good jacket.
